Barrel maturation at Midleton Whiskey Distillery: the top whiskeys are matured in ex-Sherry butts for up to 15 years. Here they are being inspected to ensure they remain in good condition. The smaller barrels beyond, more commonly used, would previously have contained Bourbon. Midleton, County Cork, Eire.
